We hear a lot these days about stem cell research, but many of us are unaware of what exactly stem cells are and what can be done with them. There are several types of stem cells including adult stem cells and embryonic stem cells. Adult stem cells reside throughout the human body within tissue, blood and organs; they are plentiful and readily available. Adult stem cells refers to the stage or maturity of the stem cell. They are also found in the tissues of the umbilical cord (after live birth), spinal cord, fat, bone marrow, dental pulp, nasal cavity, brain, peripheral blood, blood vessels, skeletal muscle, skin, cornea, digestive system, retina, liver, and pancreas. Lymphoma – Is it a Cancer of the Lymph Nodes?
Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. The lymph nodes are found in various places around the body. There are multiple areas of the lymphatic system that can become cancerous. The area of the lymphatic system that is primarily affected will determine to a great extent, both the treatment and survival rate are determined by where in the body the cancerous cells are located and if they will be able to spread to other areas of the body.

Having cancer is a life changing event that is extremely difficult to overcome. When one of your children is diagnosed with cancer, it can almost kill you to know that there is not much you can do.
I am a cancer survivor, and I know that is was very hard for my family to see how sick I was. A Therapeutic Vaccine For Advanced Prostate Cancer
Provenge, the first therapeutic vaccine, has been approved by the FDA for metastatic prostate cancer and will be available within the next year to patients who meet the criteria for advanced prostate cancer. The vaccine is different from preventive vaccines which are given to stimulate the immune system to protect people from getting a disease. The cancer industry (pharmaceutical firms, ACS, FDA, NCI, AMA) presents a strong appearance of service and progress. Behind the scenes though, their top priority is the corporate bottom line. After all, medicine is a business. As in any business relationship the caveat “buyer beware” should apply. However buyers are not aware. Most have been lulled into a strong delusion by effective medical marketing–marketing that is silent on the vast array of working alternative treatments.
